Today, we are going to talk about gratitude. Why it is important to be grateful, how we benefit from being grateful and a few prompts to get you started on your gratitude journey. 

What is gratitude? Gratitude is a positive emotion that involves being thankful and appreciative for the things in your life.

When you express gratitude, it can lead to a strong sense of well-being. Taking time to appreciate what you have is the first key to your gratitude journey.

Why practicing Gratitude is important?

Gratitude helps people;

  • Be Happier – One way gratitude may spark happiness is through increased self-esteem
  • It Can Encourage Healthier Behaviors – gratitude leads to healthy eating, more exercising and practicing self care.

  1. What is something or someone your grateful to have today and why your grateful for it and for them.
  2. Think about a happy Memory you have and write down why its is still there.

Feel free when journaling, have fun as you do it, be positive, be creative (personally, i use colored pens for a different day, i put mood stickers and sometimes i make drawings in my gratitude journal). Remember to share what your grateful for with someone, it will make you even more happier to have someone to share your happy vibe with.
